Default Side Strakes

OK,

So I've only had my S2000 for 2 months now, and I read about people having issues with their side strakes falling off.

Last week while dirving into a parking lot I heard a scrape, turns out my side strake high cenered. I've also noticed the lower black (non body colour) part is peeling away from the body at the front (looks like crap - on a $50,000+ car).

My theory is if you remove what Honda calls the "lower strake" a) they will look better and b) probably won't fall off.

I tried this yesterday, and it looks a lot better and was easy to do without removing the upper strake. The original rear strakes are still in place, so it should have no negative affect on high speed aerodynamics.

Just a thought.

Mike

To the OP, A few people have done what you have done and yes its common for them to get f'ed up thats why I did not get them and I think the car looks better w/o them personally

It took 4 years but my lowers are finally beat to hell. Took numerous speed bumps and a cat.

I just wish Honda would sell them in pieces instead of as a full kit.

I received mine for free and luckily the rubber pieces were not included because they would have definitely been mangled by now.

Does that mean I can make a huge profit by selling in Europe?

A friend of mines uncle uncle does, but there are some things that need to be converted, and I think a lot of it is from tax.
