Cold weather is where the car really stands out.

With the great heat (and lots of polar tech gear) I keep the top down.

My snow tires finally arrived and by Thursday I will be ready for the frozen roads.

My schedule is so shot that get togethers seem to be out. I run out to Framingham once or twice a week for work. I usually take the pike or route 9.

 

What did you get for snow tires?

 

I went with Bridgestone LM 22 using the original sizes.

Last year I was planning to go with Nokian NRW (which I really like on my Volvo). But Nokian did not produce a 225/50 16.

I bought the car with a second set of factory wheels to make change-overs easy.

The jury is still out on changing tire sizes (like going with 205/55 16 all around) so I went with the Bridgestones to match size and get an H rated tire.

I will let you know how I like them after a couple of days on the road.

 

How much did the extra set of wheels cost? By the way, where did you purchase your car?

 

The wheels were about $ 1260 including the center caps (ouch).

I bought it from Fox Honda in Auburn NY.
When I was looking in October, 99 only your dealer Clair and Dartmouth Honda were selling at list with no forced options.
But neither had any cars to sell at that point.

Fox was great to deal with and they had 2 cars in stock. I had it flat-bedded to my house and the car was in perfect shape when it arrived.

Sunday morning may be a remote possibility for me at this point, but like you said, the weather may not permit me to drive my car then, as I do not intend to take it out if there is salt on the roads.
