Default silencer affect?

Hi guys.

I have a t1r v2 single with a silencer on..

I didn't take it off since I had it.. It's been almost half year now..

I was wondering if a silencer would cause any damage on a car, speed or horse power besides reduce the loud sound and drone..

Thanks for ur wisdom, guys!

You drove it with the silencer on for half a year ?!?! Then why did you buy that exhaust ???

Silencer restricts the gas flow and it will rob power.

Sounds like you need to put a silencer on your girlfriend. No it won't hurt it.

It won't hurt it, it will (most likely) make you lose power since it reduces the piping at the muffler. However, some exhausts do not lose power with a silencer, because the silencer center piping is the same as the exhaust piping, so there is no loss in velocity or volume of air exiting your engine. In this cane the silencer simply eliminates the megaphone effect of the muffler tip.

Check the piping of the silencer to see if it's the same as the rest of the exhaust. Or simply do a back to back test drive. If you can't tell a difference, then don't worry about it. Even 10hp makes nearly no difference in real world driving, and you'd probably lose less than that.

You will lose whp with it in, simple enough!

Tell your g/f to eat it, in a nice way as she should have zero say in your car. Unless she paid for the exhaust or car for you
