The Silver Bullet
Well, as many of you know we've seen owner's with various colors pounding their chests and saying their color S2000 is best. The truth can now be told . . . (drum roll) . . . Silver wins.
"According to the latest figures available (from DuPont Paints), silver is out in front in North America in the car color popularity contest."
Here's the results of their study as published in Acura Style magazine, Winter 2003, received today:
Color Popularity Results:
Silver 21%
White 15%
Black 11.2%
Med/Dr Blue 9.9%
Med/Dr Green 7.6%
Med Red 6.9%
Lt. Brown 5.6%
Gold 4.5%
Bright Red 4.3%
Med. Gray 3.3%
Spa Yellow ... no mention (sorry Triple H)
The article goes on to say European design trends tend to have a big influence on American tastes. Blue shades are popular in Europe right now, so DuPont expects to see a rise in the popularity of blues on our shores soon.
