Default Simple inexpensive mud guards

I know everyone hates them on sports cars but I learned my lesson the hard way and would rather look at this than road rashed doors and underpanels.I had these (very similar) on my C6 and they worked great.I found some very simple flat mudguards at Autozone for like 15.00 a pair. All you do is line one of them up and push hard against the 2 existing screw heads in the fender well. That will mark the spots,I then drilled a 3/16" hole thru the guard and used the existing screws on the car to hold them on.When your sure you have the guard where you want it remove it and use those holes(on the guard you drilled) to mark the guard for the other side in a mirror image. You really don't need any rear mud guards. The beauty is you don't tamper with the car, they can be easily removed or replaced.I put them on when I first got the car and after 4k miles my paint looks perfect.

Hope it doesn't affect your underbody wind flow. You know the ones in front of the wheels were designed for aerodynamics....

There was a topic posted about these "mud guards"

Linky for "strakes"

Never noticed a problem , of course I rarely drive over 100.I guess if your concerned you could remove them for the track in about 5 minutes. You can also regulate how far down or out they hang when you install them. The new zo6 has similar splash guards from the factory front and rear.

Nice and clean!

What's that green arm connected to the hood? Did you install pneumatic lifters to keep the hood up?

Did you get them here in Canada, or bring them in from the States?

Dude, I'm totally doing this next week.

No more driving 1 mph over puddles to protect from splashes!

Thanks!
