Default Simple mod/DIY idea

I use the little space between the passenger seat and the floor hump/crossbar as a kind of storage space, usually for a water bottle and a pair of winter gloves/hat. Problem is, stuff that's put there easily slides under the seat.

It would be great if someone could come up with some kind of "gate" or bar that would attach to the seat (or maybe the seat mointing points? I dunno) to keep stuff from rolling underneath the seat. That way you'd have a storage space that's what, about 20" wide, 4" front-back, and 4" or so deep? Perfect for gloves/hat/waterbottle/small dogs/hoagies/whatever. Ideally it wouldn't interfere with the seat moving back and forth, or, if it did, it would be easily removeable (without tools.)

So anyone want to tackle this? Come up with something for me to buy for $25, or provide plans for us to build it ourselves?

(pic shows driver side, but I'd want it on the passenger side)

I am alone in the S2000 more often than not. I picked up a CaseLogic Mobile office thing that sits on the passenger seat and goes in the trunk when not needed. Super handy and it fits tons of crap.

^^^ Will it fit a Hoagie?

That was funny about the Hoagie, Chris

Try a small cargo net and see what you can attach it to. I'm not that familiar with that section of the car in terms of where you could tie a cargo net, but now I'm intrigued so I'll check it out tonight. May be my million $ idea (except I just shared it).

Cargo net velcroed to the carpet and hooked under the seat.
Patent pending.

Seems like a good idea. Maybe a small cargo net designed for the back of a motorcycle could be fit in there somehow to keep stuff from rolling under the seat.

Do they make one that small (like 4" x 18-20"?) Or would you jsut cut one down? I don't want to cram a 3'x5' net down there to close off that small little space.

Motorcycle cargo net. They are ~12"x12"

Also, the cargo net from the hatch area of a Mini is about the dimensions you're looking for. It will cost more though.

I'm an idiot; you know what would probably be perfect? The passenger side trans tunnel net. Anyone got a part number for that??

Great idea, but I would definately need to be really secure. I hate to see the hoagie get stuck underneath the brake or gas pedal.
