Default Single Exhaust Question

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to getting a single exhaust for the S but I don't want to have one outlet (cut out of the bumper) left empty because that is plain ugly. I've seen some pics with single exhausts and like an add on piece that eliminates one of the stock cut outs for one of the exhausts...anyone know where I can get one...some good ones...differen't sites....some guidance would be great...sorry if this is a repeat of a question...

Thanks

Norm

Most single exit exhausts do NOT slant as much as dut's (appears to be
a Spugen single Ti-tip) or mine (custom made mandrel bent polished stainless steel w/ carbon fiber muffler, titanium blaze tip). The reason is most manufacturers use the same pipe flow path as the OEM dual so your
bend at the point that was once the "Y-joint" to the double is mimicked to allow the single to exit straight back.
The reason why you see some single canister systems exit the fascia at
such an angle is to support a lesser angle to the pipe coming from the final
connection in the system. My exhaust is a straight shot from the cat to the
point where the pipe ever so gradually turns toward the right fascia.
To get the can to come out straight (for both a single AND dual), there is a
fairly restrictive bend necessary at this point in the system. Even though most aftermarket systems are mandrel bent, you still (for maximum horsepower) want as little bend as possible in your system. For this reason,
the Spugen single (V1, V2) is one of the more effective systems for HP gains as is my own custom job and a few other offerings where the canister has
that "Supra" exit, as I call it.
We're only talking a few ponies difference between a straight back exit and
a slanted one but for some of us, it's still gains to be had. Many S2000 owners do not like the slanted look so it's all water under the bridge for 'em anyways.
After having a single, I would never go back to a dual system. The OEM exhaust weighs 52-lbs, mine weighs 17-lbs and makes signficantly more power (7-8hp). Besides, Honda (shame on them) should never have put
a 50-lb, two muffler exhaust system on a 4-cylinder, 2-liter sportscar. This ain't a ZO6. One was more than enough.
