Default Single Exhaust vs Double

Ive heard that single exhausts are better than doubble.
The only reason I can see is that there is some weight saving, but is there any horsepower difference between the two exhausts?

Also, which brand would you recomend?

Thanks for any help guys.

Why is that?
I just dont get how a single pipe gives more power than a double, it seems like they should flow equally well.

The single provides a more direct airflow, where the duals would have to reroute the flow.

Duals are generally quieter though, when comparing equal piping. Dont be comparing invidia duals to some cheapo singles now.

Single is going to save lots of weight.......some titanium singles only weigh in 10- 15 lbs range compared to the stock 56 lbs

Better flow due to the lack of bends in the pipe

they also will be louder
