Site reliability
So hear this, my rear windshield for my 06 S2K shattered. I looked at ballade auto sports and they won't have anymore until the end of the year. The Honda dealership is charging 1.1k for just the glass. I was doing some research and saw some of you guys using HondaPartsNow and HondaPartDirect. Both websites have the same part number as the dealership and it's for 700 without tax and shipping. Are those websites reliable? Is there other websites you guys prefer? Or should I just go with the dealership glass and have them instal it as well, instead of having my glass guy do it. Any feed back would be extremely helpful. Oh I also have a duraflex OEM hardtop.
okay, thank you, I heard back from my insurance, which they are going to cover, so I'll probably send it to the dealership anyways
Honda part numbers are Honda part numbers regardless of what internet site you see them on. Honda dealer will probably want full MSRP since they have a building and staff on the payroll. You can get a complete soft top including the glass rear window for about the same cost. I'm not sure how the window is held in -- doesn't seem to be an easily replaceable part to me.

I was going to suggest contacting Safelite in case they do that kind of thing.

I know I could get a soft top and glass, but all I need is the glass for my hard top. As someone who does daily drive the S2K, having a top that is extremely weather resistant and that makes the structure integrity of the car stronger is what I'm looking for. I don’t see a point on purchasing a whole new soft top. But thank you for the info tho

The physical dealership is selling to a captive audience (you need the part today, or you're not savvy enough to go online). So they charge full MSRP because they can.
These online places are MORE reliable than your local dealer, as they know their reputation, and future sales, would be in jeopardy if they deal poorly with someone.
