Speaking of which, the soft top newbie that I am, I went through a touchless car wash as I was desperate to get rid of the salt and mud. The water kept out pretty good until it squirted through the partition on the rubber seal at the top of door windows where the top folds! Lesson learned. It was one of those ah-ha moments.

Seriously, a bad time to have a soft top is when you don't have a garage

 

Actually, I just went through that last week near Cincinnati. The top held up fine. The rest of the car, not so good. Every metal panel on the car is dented - hundreds of dents, both door window trim strips, broken windshield, broken center brake light and one cracked tail light.

Now to round things out, 2 days later, on my way home, the car in the next lane ran over a few road gators (retread strips) and tossed them into the front of my car. Ripped out the front grill, tore off the mounting posts on the bumper cover, and scratched up the hood (which was already all effed up from the hail anyway).

Haven't got the estimate yet but the guy was ballparking 4K plus. Might have been nice to get a new top too. Oh well. TGFI (Thank God for Insurance).

 

I can't even tell you how many Ed Hardy and Affliction-wearing 909-er and Zonie bro douchebags did that to me when I lived in San Diego. But hey, they're the ones driving the giant diesel truck to overcompensate.

I had a tow trucker do that to me once, i wanted to rip him out of his gay f@#king truck and pummel him. Tow truckers are assholes. Ok SOME are assholes, especially the ones who think they are above the law somehow.
