Default Slient Exhaust??!?!

I know I know. It is the exhaust topic again.. and I did do a search before I posted this topic. Most people wanted their exhaust loud and deep. I'm basicly looking for a dual exhaust will gain HP and quiet. Well, It can be loud when the vtec kicks in. I've been looking at the mugen, hks, and comptech, tanobe(sp?). Mugen seems like over price but it is quiet and lighter; alot of people love HKS but I know it is loud. (at least what i've read). Comptech.. um... I don't know. I would love to get amuse dual tit exhaust but it is $2100 bucks and I think it is a little too expensive for an exhaust.

I would spend up to $1500 (I think that's how much mugen cost). what do you all suggest? Remember I want performance over sound. (hopefuly it is only loud when it is at the high RPM because I want to be able to talk if I go out on a date).

help me plz. Thanks

power=noise. all the things that keep an exhaust quiet take away from power by restricting the gas flow.

Also the Neuspeed looks very close to the stock exhaust.

Correct me if I'm wrong. One thing I don't like about neuspeed is they are specialize with german cars I.E. VW and Audi. I don't think they are the best brand to go as far as Japanese car goes.

I am happy with my HKS exhaust, but it is LOUD! Neuspeed(as far as I know) is the quietist, but offers zero gain, however, it is 15 lbs. lighter than the stock setup. I have yet to hear a Mugen setup, but it does offer a couple of horsepower. I would ask someone who has Mugen and someone who has a Neuspeed setup.

S2K1 - Do you really consider the HKS loud? Are you running a test pipe on it? I dropped the cat on mine and love the sound of it even more!!! It's deafening in tunnels with the top down now but definitely !

I'm just waiting on Casper's to get their o2 simulator to work properly to avoid CEL from coming on.

It really depends on if the top's up or down. Some may be quieter but sound more boomy with the top up compared to others.
