I just noticed a ~1/2" horizontal dent on the cross bar in front of the radiator. It's located towards the driver's side. The dent seems to originate from the underside of the cross bar as it portrudes up about 1/8". There isn't any paint damage on the top side.

I checked a 2002MY car and a 2000MY car and neither have this dent, their bars are flat. Anyone else have this dent or can anyone tell me how it could've gotten there? I purchased the car new with 15 miles on it in March, the production number is in the 4500s and it drove straight when I first got it.

I'm really worried that it may have taken some damage while in transport, and some of that damage may make itself more pronounced later on.

 

Reecespieces, you are sounding paranoid. Ease up buddy, its probably nothing of significance or you would have had a problem by now. Come to think of it, the dent might be from going around corners too fast......

 

Yeah, you're right...I'll enjoy it while I can and deal with it when sh*t happens.
