Do some research on throttle bodies. Noone on this board uses them because they don't add power on the s2k. The honda engineers knew what they were doing when they designed the intake system.
Hell, extend that statement to the entire engine. There's really not much that can be done save an exhaust system, FI, or IMB...

This might be one of the worst ideas I've ever heard of. Everything we've seen shows that an intake makes little to know performance improvement in the car. But you want to remove your radiator, get a SMALLER one, so you can make some sort of custom "ram-air" (which is pretty much bull$hit) intake?

Do yourself a favor, leave the radiator alone and get a K&N.
This is a bad response in many ways imo. I've seen plenty of "worse" ideas here.

The airbox system of the S2000 is not that great imo - it sits behind the radiator and fan and at he top of the engine, so a smaller efficient radiator on the passenger side would allow a direct line from the intake to the front of the car, thus allowing a nice straight pipe from the nose, not behind a radiator, into the engine - fresh air without all the bends of your typical AEM style intake.

With the stock radiator, the stock air box is probably the best design for an intake imo, but I see nothing wrong with getting a direct pipe into the engine by utilizing a less wide radiator.

as long as the radiator has the capacity to handle the heat produced by the engine, it should be fine. A perfect example of this is the cwest carbon time attack car. They have a narrower radiator for the ram air effect with their scoop, however the radiator is thicker.

My little 3 row radiator cools my project car down enough.
