Default Snow in Texas

I can't believe it, but it snowed in the D/FW area for about twelve hours yesterday. Nothing much stuck: however, last night as I drove home with my low beams shinning, I was challenged by an SUV. I guess the falling flakes caused the HIDs to be amplified. Anyone else noticed this?

I noticed the same thing. No pissy SUV owners tho

It looked realy cool from my perspective. Kinda like blowing smoke into a laser beam.

I am ALWAYS challenged by SUV's flashing their brights - even tonight while going to dinner one challenged me! And to think, those guys are the ones that are lighting up my entire interior (not like they can help it) while I'm at a stop light.

I will say this, one time at Toxic Smell (Taco Bell), a truck was behind me, and turned off his lights while I was in front of him. I thought that was one of the most considerate things and he knew! He just knew. Man, I wanted to buy his meal. It almost brought a tear to my eye. *chuckles*

What gets me are the morons driving around with FOG lights on all the time...forget about fog, these guys want to feel like they're in a box at yankee stadium. The HID's are still brighter but don't blind every yahoo in an SUV with 16 lights blazing in my rear view mirror.

Had a bad scare last night driving west on 635 through the 635/35E interchange during the snow. Was going about 40 on the overpass when the car suddenly rotated. It felt like the front end slid sideways. I immediately countersteered, and the car recovered, but not before sliding halfway onto the shoulder of the bridge. Thank you whoever designed that bridge to have such a big shoulder! =)

Scary how fast stuff can happen. I expected to lose the rear end if I lost traction, because the tread was getting pretty thin on the rears (the fronts were fine). Strange the fronts broke loose, at least I think that's what happened. I was certain when it started that I was going to spin. Needless to say, I drove real slow the rest of the way home
