Hey Shingles, I can relate to your stories about people think mummy and dada bought it for ya. I rolled over to safeway in my board shorts and tshirt, hopped out and had this snobby guy come over and comment on the car followed by a "rich parents?" question. I hate it being assumed that I must not have earned it- its not my fault all those haters didn't start investing as early as I did . Anyways, don't worry about getting snubbed- all the other s2k owners I've waived to, regardless of age, sex or clothing style have either waved back or given me the thumbs up. Just enjoy the drive......

Just because someone shows no interest in communicating with you does not make them an A-hole. It may just mean that they are not interested, period.

I see a few S2Ks around Seattle, almost everyone is really friendly. I've even stopped to let another S2K (whata nice guy) into traffic on a busy street. Only once did another drive fail to wave/flash lights/toot horn and apparently he didn't like seen a kid (I'm 36, or so my Driver's License says) in his car. Oh well.

Other than that, people are very happy so see another one on the road. So just ignore the people with their noses out of joint and enjoy the smiles and thumbs up from everyone else. The people with their noses out of place probably have a pathetic social life and we should probably feel sorry for them.

I even have Boxster drivers giving me the thumbs up (occasionally)

Enjoy.

I'm 19 years old, and 2 doctors that live in my area have one. We are they only one's in the city, and they dispise me cuz i have one, one of the doctors was even willing to sell his S2k because I have one. They give me the same reaction as that fool gave you, like they are better than me or something. They are just haters.

Hope that wasn't me. I sometimes drive in my own foggy world and have been told by friend I didn't wave back. What area were you in?

I've came across only one person like that, The rst have been great and are allways willing to talk. Even met a guy today with the best colour Silver and invited him to the board. They aren't all A-holes, but its a shame when you come across one.

Maybe he was having a bad day. 2 days ago, I was going home after working 14 straight hours and stopped at a light - needless to say I was tired and very unobservant. When the light turns green, I start through the intersection and spot a sliver s in the opposite road (the one I'm crossing over) and the guy is waving very happily at me, but as I try to respond, another car covers my wave back, then it's too late....I felt bad, but maybe I'll see him again!
