Make sure the fitter does not scratch the rim! I took my s2k to get one of the tyre changed. After the fitter completed the change I saw a slight groove going right across all 5 spoke spokes. I complained! He said sorry mate. I just wanted to kill that motherf*. But I can't drive my baby inside so I just paid the fool.

I have now decided to get all 4 wheels polised for the summer. Should look pretty hot.

Anyway this happens because all the spokes comes out of the rim. The machinery that most garages used are standard equipment.

You sure they were not quoting you the price of the wheel and tire (still too high)?

Paul,

I think what you out to do is go tell them you will supply them with tires at 300 USDand they can sell it for 500USD.

My dealer did that to one rim as well, but it was huuuuggggee bands not just a slight groove. They relucantly sent the rim away and had it refinished at their cost. They still claim it was due to me curbing it. Strange thing is there were no marks on the old tyres. They repaired the damage well, although there is a slight gouge on one rim where the damage was too deep, still it doesn't show as it painted. The place they sent it too was in Tunbridge Wells, so you may be able to get yours done'. The trouble is I was without my car for about four days

RE: scratches, I hear what you are saying, I did the same with my INTEGRA, stood over them and agreed what state they were in before they started, learnt that lesson after Honda Dealer chewed one rim up repairing a puncture on the TEG' for free, they did repair that.

RE: Mileage, by Monday it will be about 10,200 (9,500 today with one track day) after second track-day tomorrow . Fronts are less than half worn.

Anyone else who is going, I know someone else on here is, fill up before you arrive or even near as there is no 97 / 98 RON on the way there. They sell (98 RON at the drome but its about a

Paul, I had a similar instance over here where the jammy twat Honda dealers were quoting AUD$1300 per tyre. I ended up getting a set of 4 for less than that at the local Bridgestone dealer. I also checked the Honda dealers computer and noticed his buy price was around AUD$650.

This makes me suspect Honda is buying them from Bridgestone at the same price I can then marking them up 100% to sell to their dealers and the dealer is then marking up 100% again for retail to unsuspecting purchasers.
