My initial thought was he traded the parts to an AP1 owner. But the stolen and swapped vin number is interesting.

Upon closer look - money was spent on that VeilSide kit install. The side skirts and rear bumper of the kit are molded into the sheet metal of the car. Which might be why the AP2 taillights we not removed. It probably is an AP2.
