I work in the D.C. area, and today, as I was walking to my car, I saw a silver S2K parked on the road. I had to do a double-take to tell it was a stook because of all the dirt on it! I was sooooo tempted to write "wash me" on it with my finger. It looked like it hadn't been washed since it was purchased/leased! I absolutely couldn't believe someone would let that beautiful piece of machinery get so absolutely, disgustingly filthy. I just hope it's not someone on this board! I doubt if any of us would have let our cars get this dirty. Since it hasn't rained hard here for at least a few days, it had to be like this for quite awhile. I was sooo happy to see my spotless red baby nice and clean and ready to go!

You have to give the guy some slack. If it recently rained, then the dude or dudette may have been too busy to get it washed.

Remember that we can't simply run the car through a gas station car wash.

Do you know that rubbing your finger on a dirty car will scratch it? A dirty car is no reason to want to vandalize it. You know nothing of this person's situation. Don't be so fast to judgement. I live on a dirt road and my cars get dirty fast.

Now, now, gents, as stated in the first post, it hasn't rained hard for quite some time. I agree, maybe they didn't have the opportunity to clean the stook, but it was "painful" to look at that beautiful car covered in dirt.

Believe me, I would never actually write "wash me" on the a car. The thought did occur just like the thought occurs to put the pedal to the medal every time I pull up on a hot rod and the guy/gal has the gleam in their eyes that says, "let's drag and to hell with the traffic." I have a primal urge to let her rip, but my common sense easily overrides it. I was just trying to make the point that it was painful to look at...
