Default So what is it?

Wasting way too much time looking for an S2000! Two pictures. Any guesses as to what they are? I am guessing the first is a hookup for the aftermarket headunit (for an iPod or something). Not sure what the second one is. Looks like driver's door jamb about just in front of where the pull cord is for the gas tank cover. Any thoughts?

1st one is something aftermarket, not part of what is standard on the S. Not sure what it is.

2nd one is the fuel door release.

If the first one in the storage compartment is not for an ipod, it is most likely for an aftermarket computer controller (e.g. to monitor / modify the ECU). Just my guess.

Don't pull that tab in the second picture - that is the passenger ejection seat release. It is only to be used when you are on a date and things arent going too well. Make sure the soft top is down before use as well.

Lol... The second picture reminded me of what happened right after I bought my first s from an older gentleman. Forgot to ask him where the gas tank access button was so in a panic at the gas station I did a search and found my answer on s2ki. That was my first visit to the site and I've been amazed everyday since from all the help and information I've found on here over the years.

That was good for a laugh! Should I mention to my date of this eject button? : P

feeling pretty stupid now

I knew the fuel release was by the driver seat (from reading this forum) but I thought it was actually a little switch on the side of the B pillar. Live and learn!

When I first bought my S and didn't know any better...I spent the good part of 5 minutes at the gas station looking for the release lever.

The next question is...does the OP know where the "secret" compartment is??
