The Honda S2000 was very well regarded by enthusiasts and the motoring press, right up until being discontinued in 2009. Even today it has a loyal following on the used market. Where did things go wrong?

You know what one of the worst things that could happen as a result of these impossibly awful Curated Content nonsense? If some executive at Honda heard of this cool S2000 enthusiast website, and its long, glorious history, and decided to take a peek at what we were saying about a possible new S model, and found this Curated Content post and thought it was the pulse of what this community thinks.
Then made a decision that took into account 'our feelings' about such a car.
Curated Content, you are doind a tremendous disservice to the S community as well as the larger enthusiast community as a whole. Please, please stop.

First of all, Honda executives don't base their billion dollar decisions on articles on s2ki, so don't worry.
Secondly, the article is stating unbias information. We might not care about fuel economy or the recession or whatever other reason Honda discontinued the S2000. But just because we love them, doesn't make facts untrue!

They obviously look at many factors. It wouldn't be a shock to learn that one of those factors, albeit low on the list, would be what enthusiasts think. If they are only concerned about selling cars, they'll follow Fords lead and stop building cars altogether. A new S is only going to be built if they want to work on their image, not just sell more cars.
Of course, a new S probably won't be built. But if it is, I don't want Honda to get the wrong idea about what we think.
