Yeah that's really good advice, but unfortunately I don't know anyone else with an S2000 =[

It's fine though I already decided to get the hard top. I was planning to get one anyway, and I doubt it could be any worse than what mine is like now.

Don't worry about it, a hardtop will dramatically be better for noise, even with no headliner.

Get hard top strikers for your soft top, they may just be worn out and not latching tight enough....
I just replaced mine and the noise is GONE

new one is on the left, old one is on the right

woa woa.. the noise is gone?

You mean like.. you can have a conversation with a passenger without it being really awkward and requiring screaming?

Ahhh I already put a deposit down.. I definitely will miss being able to put the top down though if I get a hard top, although it can be removed.. If I get the hard top hardware installed and use the soft top the noise should be gone anyway right?

I already put the deposit down so I think I might as well get the hard top at this point. But man.. California weather sure is nice and it's about to be summer!

Seriously??

Wow I didn't know it could get that quiet. If that's the case, maybe I'll save the rest of my money even though I already made a deposit, and just fix the soft top problems..

Thanks for the input guys! So basically you can talk as though it were a normal car? I mean I know it's not meant to be a luxury car, but at least it's not that much different or worse than a normal coupe right?

Mine with the soft top is pretty quiet also. I can easily have a convo with someone going 70mph on the highway without really raising my voice. With the hardtop it is even quieter though since you can't hear as much wind.

Hmm thanks for letting me know.. I think I'll just stick with the hard top anyway since I already put a deposit down and it's still quieter than having a soft top. I'm definitely going to miss putting the top down, but I guess during summer I can leave the hard top off the car.

hard top will be sweet and you'll probably have to replace the strikers anyway for that so it might fix your soft top wind noise issue.
