Soft top awkward tear repair?
Hi!
Does anyone know of a good fix for this, other than replacing the top altogether? Rest of the hood is great, it’s just this tear on both sides... Thanks!

I bought some canvas repair tape from Amazon. I used it to reinforce my top to prevent tears. But I also used it to repair hooes in my Sperry Topsider canvas boat shoes, and to repair a nice linen shirt.
In both cases, forcing the torn areas back into origanl shape as I applied the tape to the back, made a strong, flexible repair tbat manages to be durable and not too bad looking.
Its cheap and easy enough to try. It will be a pain to get the patch in place though, simce in such a tight corner.

Some of that can be sewed, but some of that can't be. I would take it to a upholstery shop that also does tops and see what they can do. If they can fix it it will be a lot less than a new top.
