Default Soft Top Gone

I just need some input on people that have there soft tops removed out of their s all the way. I been having my soft top down with the hardtop on for a couple on months and actually havent even had it up ever since i had my hardtop. So i just need some input on is it worth removing and not having at all? Does the interior sound change? I plan on keeping the hardtop, i have no intentions of selling it and i also have another car that i use as a DD.

Thx

Removing the soft top lets in more exhaust noise/exterior noise through the very thin body panel below where the soft top rests.

It isn't worth taking out: I've taken mine out and put another one back in. Soft top is a must have IMHO for this car, you'll want it back soon enough so just keep it.

Can I put some padding to prevent the noise coming in ?
You can get a rep hardtop for 1200$, keep looking in the for sale section and also on s2kca.com.

It depends if you really want to do it, I took mine out because of the hard top and plus my soft top was all funky looking. It does help with the weight saving and when turn
Ing in the s ,the gs feel better but that's just me. It's a preference thing, if you know your going to run your hard top more then having it convertible status.

if your soft top is still good and you are not worried about weight savings, you should definitely leave it in.

gutting your soft top is purely for weight savings and hard mounting hardtops. although I occasionally remove my hardtop for a sunny day.

Does the cowel or roll bar cover help with noise reduction?
