Default soft top hairline cracks

i just noticed today very thin hairline cracks on top surface of the soft top
they dont go through just very thin cracks like when someone backs into your bumper and flexes it . leaving very fine cracks on the paint..

i dont know if i should worry about them or do anything besides cleaning and conditioning the top

i will snap some pictures tomorrow when its light outside.

It's working its way up to a tear. It's just stress and age. You can't really do anything to fully prevent it, but you could always use adhesive and patch material to shore up the area from the inside.

Regular conditioning with something designed for these tops that have UV protection is de rigueur. Raggtopp is my preference but others like 303.

Keeping the car garaged or covered always helps too.

You may consider a cloth top when you replace it.

I had one or two of them thru the years and bolstered it from underneath with black silicone adhesive and a soft top patch. Many years on, and it still looks great.

actually when i was looking at the image again i noticed discoloration.
it looks like a stain around the cracking area. maybe chemical damage
when i played with color settings in photoshop i can clearly see the round spot and the cracks are in the center of it

should i use a cleaner of some kind and then conditioner
is there some kind of upholstery glue i can use on this?
theres also what looks like a cigarette hole on the back of it that i need to patch up

you can buy some soft top cloth and just glue it on, underneath, there are a few different threads with different ideas on how to fix small tears and holes.
