Common s2k problem. Hardtop strikers will almost completely eliminate wind noise at high speeds. Night and day difference for me.

All it does is pull the soft top down harder against the windshield.

thats a good way to do it...

BUT for a CHEAP mod...............what you do is, unbolt the latches.... put 2 or 3 washers over the screws, and screw it back on... VIOLA! you just extended the latch downward. It pulls it far enough down to stop that windnoise... but if it STILL does it.. then check Jeff out at HTG.

But try that first. Worked for me..

The washers work great, but they loosen up alot unless you put in on with a impact driver and thread lock. If you don't want to take it apart more than once go with the hardtop strikers.

Also, grease the seals with Shin-Etsu (available from HandA for ~$12). Should be applied to seals (windshield and top of side windows) twice a year. One tube lasts a lifetime.

The above suggestions are preferred, especially the hard top catchers.

If you're in a jam (on a road trip for instance) or low on funds, go to the hardware store and buy a small length of rubber/flexible-plastic hose just large enough to squeeze over the latches. Three quarter inch sections worked for me. They'll pull down just hard enough for a temporary solution.
