Default Soft top problem

First off let me apologize if I am posting this in the wrong forum. I normally just troll the forums and rarely post.

My s2k is a 2000 and I had a shop replace my soft top with an 02 top. At first all was well and then after a while the top would get stuck going down. Here is a video for reference

as you can see I can get the top all the way down if I position the glass properly here is a video of that

So my question is, does anyone know what I can do to resolve this, I would greatly appreciate your help

The shop didn't update the top frame to accept a glass window top. You can't just stick a glass window top on a MY00-01 that came with the plastic window. The way the top folds is slightly different, but as you are experiencing, it is enough to keep the top from going all the way down.

What kind of top did you order? If it was the Robbins glass conversion top, it should have come with instructions and extra frame straps that will allow an older frame to use a glass rear window.

I was going to say that you need to remove the center buttons that the tonneau cover snaps into. there located below the rollbars.

Its an OEM top from Honda. I gave the shop the instructions I found on here that instruct on installing additional straps so the top could fold down properly.

It worked for a few months then quit.

I will try to remove teh center buttons and see if that helps.

Thanks
