Soft Top: Rear window rattle on Roll Hoops?
Sorry in advance if this is posted in the wrong area. I've searched quite a bit and can't find an answer.
Just bought an MY05, has an aftermarket top -Robbins or EZON, I believe. Friends who own S2k's mention that it's much higher quality than the OEM top (thicker material, reinforcements in wear points, etc).
However, I'm finding that the rear (heated, glass) window rubs against the back of the roll hoops. The rattling is enough to drive me nuts.
I've done my best to look around for fixes, but I'm 6'2" and struggle to reach or look back there.
Does anyone know if there is an adjustment or fix that might need to take place?
Thanks in advance!

This has happened on my car since I got it. (8 years old, 70k miles, original top). I think the cause was that the top was stretched after years of improper folding due to these elastic straps being worn out: http://www.modifry.com/products/ctf/details.htm
I don't think there are any adjustments to be made on the top... none that I know of at least. I put black adhesive furniture sliders on the window where it hits each roll hoop. You can't really see it, and I've had no rattles for over a year.

Thanks guys!
The straps are stretched and the modifry upgrades are on my list of to-do's. I was thinking of jumping ahead with a ghetto-rig solution (i.e. furniture sliders) but thought I'd ask first!

Top Down FTW!!!
I actually have a similar problem. The rear glass taps against my cage when top is up. Luckily it rubs on the outside portion of the window so I made a little "cushion" to put in there. I took a piece of 3m window insulation tape (it's basically double sided tape) cut it to length and placed it on the inside edge of the glass where it meets the fabric. When the top is up the tape rides perfectly on the cage thus removing any rattling. Top down you don't see anything. Works perfect for me.

Make sure the top bows are in proper position when up. ( compar to friends car)
the straps can be replaced but that is only helpful when putting the top down, making sure the 2nd bow folds under the latches and dosnt tear it.
You can try to fold trim the plastic strip under the header metal ( where it sits ontop of the windshield) and pull it a few cm tighter and re-screw it.

I just purchased an 06 with the same problem, my rear window rattles against the plastic roll hoops. I also have an aftermarket top, have not been able to determine which brand. I am in the process of finding another AP2 in my area to compare soft tops.
