Are you running with the side windows down? If so, you are getting a lot of wind buffetting and this would not be a surprise.

And, it depends what you mean by "shaking". My '01's plastic rear window has always had a bit of "movement " at high speeds --- just like all the plastic-windowed convertibles I've owned before it. Nothing violent, and I have the windows up.

Thanks,
Richard

I think you've already got your answer. Only you can say if one compares to the other. We're not there and we didn't see it.

I haven't really noticed shaking of the rear window at speed. However, when I get into the car and close the door, my rear view mirror shows a great deal of rear window 'bounce.' I suppose for twice the price (literally) I could get a Lexus SC430 with a metal retractible top. On second thought, no, I will tolerate a little mushiness from that rag top.

Any rear window on a "rag top" will have some shaking movement. You don't say what you mean by driving fast." 80 or 150? As the airspeed of the car increases, aerodynamic forces on the "rag top" will cause movement on all parts of the top, including the part that secures the rear window. If your shaking is excessive, and out-of-line compared to other s2ks, the reason would probably be that your top wasn't installed "tight enough" to stretch it when closed to minimize this situation.

Thanks,
Richard
