Advanced auto parts sells a cheaper kit than that but it did not work on my cloth top. i had the usual tear in the passenger side top area.i found nothing that worked.i had a guy at out dealership patch it untill i could trade it in a few days later.looked ok but i did not put the top down after he patched it to test it. hope it works for you. todd

 

I suspect the kit would work fine if you left the top up, but the area which typically tears is right on a crease so it would be next to impossible for a repair patch to stay on in such conditions.

 

i had a tear on my soft-top (approx. 3 x 3 inches) and decided to take it to custom interior shop. got it done for around $50 and i was very satisfied. $40 to $50 on patch kit... i rather take it to the professional... well... that's just me...

 

yeah thats true for 40- 50 buck i rather take it to a pro. but since i dont know somewhere near my town ima try to see what happens with this kit ....... i will keep yea posted on how it goes once i get it
