Default Soft top straps

Hi everyone,
My S2000 has an aftermarket soft top which moves a lot at high speeds (140+Km/h). My straps touch the top but they are not too hard to pull with the hand. Do i need to replace them? Note that the top goes down fully.

To my knowledge all the straps do is pull one of the roof bars back so the roof folds neatly. They don't support the roof or keep it tight with the roof is up.

Check your strikers - the clasps that secure the top to the windshield frame. They can wear so that the top doesn't seat completely.

I post some pictures of my strikers - are they worn a lot?

I know I am new to the S2000 world but they don't look worn enough to cause your issues, but I could be wrong. Regarding the straps, mine are sagging about an inch from the top, but my top fully closes and the top doesn't move at all. And from what others have noted it doesn't help the top close but to help the top go all the way down in the open position. Again, take what I say with a grain of salt as I have only owned mine for a month

Mine are literally threads and turn into powder when I touch them, lol.
