Default Softop Frame Creaking

Hi, I've got an '04 and recently the hard metal frame next to the window creaks, when going over uneven surfaces etc. No it's not the seatbelt, that's another noise. If I push on the frame it creaks. Also noticed that if I pull the roof slightly back and then clip it, the noise goes away, but then the roof isn't 100% closed, so that's a quick but inefficient fix.

Any idea how to solve this?

Thanks

Yeah, they tend to do that. I belive that the creaking is coming from the hinge joints. Try a little grease.

It's the joints that make the scritch, crick, scritch noise though. My MY04 was doing that while it was in warranty a few years ago and the dealer added some grease to the joints. It took a bit to work in but the noise did go away.
