This helps lessen the pain of losing a great car. Good luck with your future marriage.
+1 yes on the community. I'm also on TacomaWorld.com. I don't think the site is the same quality (mainly I feel like the educational level on s2ki is higher) but you can follow all the same stuff you can on here.

Does she tell you what to put on every morning too?
Im pretty sure he was trying to make the lame ass "your a bitch because your wife/gf made you sell your car" joke
[/quote]
If he says he 'had to' and links it to a woman it appears as though she is running his life. I get to deal on a regular basis with men who are all saying "I'll have to run it by my wife first". Years of hearing this I always ask "Does she ask you if she can buy those $200 pumps she'll never wear and add to her collection of shoes' The answer is always "No" they laugh, laugh that they're not men and the fact their wives all have more shoes then they could ever wear.

You sell your car for family, it makes sense, but say as much.

I'll be getting married, again, and the first wife loved the car and then learned to hate it. Next wife likes the car and would rather I not sell it down the road as she understands what a man needs might not be a new pair of shoes but instead a car to go drive and work on. If I sell it to aid in buying a home it will be my call.

I gave him crap because our world is ever filling with grown children.

That said it's pretty fun to take out the S on a date night and keep it young. Nothing like going on a date in the family sedan with a baby seat in the back to remind you of your kids and how you're getting older.

The OP has stated clearly why he made the decision he made. It is very clearly his decision and he hasn't asked for advice on either his choice to buy a truck (because he wanted and needs one) or his relationship with his fiance.

Can we keep this on topic please? This is S2000 Talk.

I gave no advice now did I?

A lot of us are just sharing our S2000 stories. I think my reply is on-point with regards to the S2000 and the lady in my life. OP has posted a similar story with a different direction and outcome. And I was giving him a friendly gab like a lot of us guys do.

We're on topic Ma'am.

You're not on topic, sir. You are discussing your complaints about men who you see as less than men because of choices in their lives which you blame on women. Calling it a friendly jab doesn't change what it is.

Please stop going off topic in what was the OP's post about selling his S and getting a truck.

Is this really what has become of s2000 Talk? Wow...
Wonder what the membership thinks of this? Judging by the responses regarding both his relationship and s2000, perhaps they don't agree that it's severely off topic. Conversations are fluid, and move. The original post was very on topic, and the reply's have been on topic related to the OP.
Technically you have been off topic in your responses, perhaps you should lead by example

If you sold the S for your family, good for you. My dad sold his 914 when my mom was pregnant. I'm sure it was hard at the time, but if you ever ask him if he regrets it, I'm sure he would tell you no. However, banking on the aunt being a millionaire doesn't mean anything, earn it and appreciate it.

Oh, and to make this s2000 related, I own an s2000. Bought a Nissan Frontier, liked it, sold it, kept the s2000 the whole time. (Is that part off topic?)

Yeah S is cool and all but that stage 3 clutch in hawaii's traffic? On hills terrifying Everyitme I saw a hill im like Nope im stopping at the bottom of this hill. Honestly I love the truck. Its so damn hard to park holy hell, compared to the S which is cake. I gotta buy a back up camera. Its also funny cause my truck is raised and im short 5'3 so I fall out of the truck when getting out and jumping in the truck when getting in lol.

On top of that yesterday a guy who worked at the dealership is like asking me to buy my extra parts because hes going to buy my s2k.

Stage 3 clutch. Were you running more power?

I drive a sedan, not a truck, as a daily and I have noticed I'm less willing to put up with the discomforts of the S. Certainly a baby in the trunk is not advisable.

Been a member of tacomaworld for a few years now. It has a lot of activity, but little content, if that makes sense. It is not organized or upkept and technical information is rare. I fully understand your comment about the education level. They are good guys though. I have been to a few local Tacoma meets and had a good time. I drift off when the topic migrates to off-roading. I only use it for crappy weather driving, heavy parking (mall, sporting events ect) and hauling anything larger than a toaster. I have modified mine, but lifting and off-roading doesn't interest me.
