sold the s
sold her last friday to a local guy and bought a 06 convertable 350 z with 38,000 miles.had to get a automatic due to a left food problem.ive learned alot from the diy writeups and i will shorely miss the s.good luck to all of you!
Ouch! It's a downgrade, but if you can't drive a stick anymore due to your health, there wasn't much point in keeping the S around just to look at. You will like the Z, though, they are fun cars in their own way.
it's better to have driven than to never have driven at all, or is it better to have loved...i don't know.

it was down to the z4 or the z so the maintanence is most likely cheaper on the z then the z4.i do most of the work on my car.i can tell you that you will not throw the z around the corners like the s.i will miss that.and the easy to diy on the s.the z was down to priceas i found one at a lexus dealer for 18,000 dollars and i got them down to 16,500 for a 06 roadster one owner still under warrenty.first owner bought it in may 07.with tax it came to 18,000 dollars.that is why i sold my s for 6800 dollars, had people comming out of the wood work to buy it.144k on her and it still looked new.

As an owner of both, you will enjoy the Z for its weight and firm feeling on the road. It has a great presence and is a pleasure to drive on highways at speed, and the exhaust note is +1 (although many here will disagree).
But when it comes to the twisty back roads, you may miss the S2k. And the transmission of the s2000 is perfection, but you went to auto anyways. The throw of the manual Z stick is sub par IMO.
The only other area to watch is the convertible top of the Z. It likes to get hung up, especially in cooler temps...too many working parts. Z forums will explain some fixes for that.
ENJOY!

I agree, that is a downgrade. Don't know if the OP has driven a 370z but that would have been a better choice for a Z car
