Will there be a rash of "in-warranty failures" of audio head units, once Honda's replacement parts pipeline begins to stock the 2001 units with the integral clock? Would anybody induce a failure just to benefit?

Will Honda allow 2000 head units to be replaced with 2001 ones? I wonder...

Hey, there is something wrong with my radio too - it has a screwdriver in it!

Hey, I got my cheesy Kmart clock velcroed on the cover of the radio door. But then I also get inside and outside temperature on the thing. Pretty useless when the top is down !

I have noticed that when in the "Top down" mode on the climate control, the vent blows right on the clock. So the result is that the interior temperature reads 89 degrees or something silly even when it's 60 degrees out. Pretty useful huh?

OK, although it sounds goofy, it is nice to know the outside temperature and my setup also allows me to see the time with the radio door closed (my normal position). I still like it.

I'm waiting for a replacement. The verdict is still out on whether Honda will replace my head unit with a 2001 model. I asked for one and that is what they are ordering.

I'll let you know.

Funny... I have this image in my mind of hundreds of returned S2000 Radio/CD units showing up at some Honda depot with screwdrivers stuck in them!

I didn't think about doing something to my radio...hmmmm. I didn't want to stick anything to my car so I did without a clock until I found a cool watch. It's a Timex TMX. It looks like a climbing clamp and hangs perfectly from the rearview mirror. The actual watch face (digital) hangs just below the mirror so I can see it.

"Time is an illusion! Lunch time doubly so!"

Even more so when I'm driving the S.

Even if they put one on the stereo, it would still be easier for me to look at the watch on my wrist instead.
