I recently started hearing some sort of noise from my car. It sounded like liquid swishing swashing in a bottle though I searched the car inside out and couldn't locate the source. The noise is very soft and you have to pay attention to hear it. It doesn't happen all the time but frequent enough to drive me nuts and there is no definite way to duplicate the noise.

Can anyone give me an idea what this could be?

I was wondering whether this is what the owners with engine failure heard. I don't really know what the "tap tap" noise sounds like. Is it like a metal tapping against metal sound or something else?

All input would be greatly appreaciated. Thanks.

Sounds like fuel in the tank sloshing about. I've had different examples of the same model of car, where some do it with a certain level of fuel, others less so.

I think my car makes strange noises at times, especially fron the transmission. It's probably Honda's idea of a soundtrack.

If it works OK, don't worry, it ain't broke!

With the motor on. I usually hear it when I start to slow down to an almost complete stop.

Fuel was my first thought as well. Probably not the windshield washing fluid.

You know, I haven't thought about that! Hopefully it is something that simple. But I didn't hear it before, either the car has a problem or my hearing has improved because I never turn on the radio anymore.

1)So do any of you hear it? Or is my car just badly made?

2)And why only noise in slow cornering speed? Is it because the other time the engine noise cover it up?

i'm beginning to learn this... that this car will make a lot of noises. you just gotta realize that this car is pretty much all about the engine, suspension, et cetera, and they've done little to attract the luxo lovers out there. that's a good thing for us!

just don't worry too much about it. i heard the fuel thing once and at very slow speeds when turning i hear a moan.
