I certainly wouldn't pay more than 20k for that car. Maybe mid to upper teens at best.

As for handling it depends on how serious the collision was and the work involved and how professionally it was done.
The owner is asking 20k for the car with the wheel and suspension he has.
Without wheels and suspension is 18k.
What do you think?
I have posted some pictures of how the damage looks like.
How bad do you think it is?
I have no idea how professionally he had it done.
That's why I decided to come on here and ask,
Because I need more inputs on this.
Thank you for your input=)
I myself wouldn't spend 20k because I'm sure that car sold for less than 10k. Also from what I can see parts wise which isn't much because the pictures suck repairs could have been done for possibly less than 5k easily. I'm not knocking the price I'm just explaining from my point of view from a buyer before the repairs were made not from a buyer after the car has been repaired. If your not sure or have doubts I would most definitely pay a body shop you trust to go through the entire car for you. Me personally I would want the car stock so I would offer 15k and go from there unless the aftermarket parts are to your liking. Check the forums and eBay as well as Craigslist and see what else you can find to made a good decision. Test drive a few also if you can before buying this one especially since it was wrecked.

Sounds very reasonable.
I would shop around to see what my options are.
For the body shop part, the car is really far away from where I am.
so that would be quite difficult for me.
Anyway, thank you very much for your input.
Does that damage look severe?
or is it not really bad?

From what I can see the damage is not horrible and is easily fixable by a professional who knows what they are doing. A Mickey Mouse person could fix it also but it would not be done right. The gaps should be perfect and paint should all match basic common sense things. But like I said with those pics it's really hard to tell and give you 100%. If I were you I wouldn't not invest so much money into a crashed car without knowing what you are getting yourself into. If you have 15-20k to spend you can find some really nice unmolested cars that you would never have to question.

I decided to look for a clean car.
I have about 25k to spend, but a lot of these CRs seem to have a insanely high price tag, providing the MSRP was about 35k 6 years ago.
Trying really hard to find a clean one...

I cant imagine how damaged a 2008 CR would have to be to get totaled.
Yea I have the pictures' link.
Don't know if that's a total on a CR or not...
That damage shown would not total out 99% of s2000's much less a CR. Something terrible happened to that car at some point.

We can only see one part of the damaged car. If it spun, it could be that other corners of the car were also damaged. Still, assumming the rear was the worst part, its difficult to imagine that totaled the car.

But maybe the front was the worst part, and they are not showing the worst damage to make the now repaired car seem less risky.

It seems the OP has passed on this car. In case someone else is considering it, I would ask if there are pre repair pics of the rest of the car. If not, why? If you were taking pics of a damaged car to use to show what you repaired, wouldn't you also take pics to show what parts of car weren't damaged?
