I gotta say, S2000 owner or not, that was EPIC! It redefines "take this job and shove it!"

One passenger stood up to retrieve belongings from the overhead compartment before the crew had given permission. Mr. Slater instructed the person to remain seated. The passenger defied him. Mr. Slater reached the passenger just as the person was pulling down the luggage, which struck Mr. Slater in the head.

Mr. Slater asked for an apology. The passenger instead cursed at him. Mr. Slater got on the plane’s public-address system and cursed out the passenger for all to hear. Then, after declaring that 20 years in the airline industry was enough, he blurted out, “It’s been great!” He activated the inflatable evacuation slide at a service exit and left the world of flight attending behind.
i woulda been pissed if i was him too. must have been a real douche on the plane. i see enough of these ass hats that think aircraft rules dont apply to them.

i give this guy props for standing up.

I've never really understood why people all jump out of their seats as soon as the plane a-l-m-o-s-t comes to a complete stop. For the most part people leave in an orderly fashion, row-by-row. They aren't really beating anyone. Why not sit comfortably for another 5-10 minutes until it's their turn to start moving?

Yet, people are not content unless they're standing in the cramped space in front of their seats, bent over like hunchbacks bouncing their heads off of the reading lamps while they wait for the doors to open and for everyone else in the rows up ahead to deboard.

I generally stay in my seat until the row ahead of me is starting to move. I get really pissed when one of these impatient douches clubs me in my head trying to get his/her bag down before anyone in the immediate rows has even begun to move.
