I apologize if I am posting this in a wrong section.

I am a new S2000 owner, I have a 06 NFR with only 42K miles on it. The car runs strong and I am happy with it. However, it came to my attention that something is missing where the license plate goes (see pictures). Does it supposed to be that way or is it missing something?




In another note, I have been feeling some little struggle going into 1st and 2nd gear but nothing major. I changed the clutch fluid and I will regrease the shifter this weekend and I will give an update. I am also changing the OEM radio this weekend

Completely wrong, my bad, surprised I didn't even know this was a thing before. I probably should've got up and checked instead of just assuming. Weird design though. Sorry.

Corrected, nothing is missing, surprised I didn't even know about this feature.

 

Wait, so it supposed to be cut out like that? Isn't that weird though?

 

Looks correct but your plate light assembly is not clipped to the cover correctly on the right hand side, could be a broken tab.

 

Yeah, that weird gap is normal. Grats on getting an S!

Change the trans fluid, with 42k miles I'm willing to bet it's never been changed.
