I was looking around on Yahoo Autos this morning and ran across their Edmunds Used car pricing. http://autos.yahoo.com/edmunds/honda/2000/...nvertible1.html I was happy to see that they say my car with 15000 miles is still worth more than I paid for it but they make adjustments for colors.
Here's the breakdown:
Silver -$200
Black -$127
White +$57
Red +$298
Yellow -$222
I know yellow wasn't available in 2000 but I just tossed it in for fun. If I'd wanted to I could have included other colors like Green and Orange.
I thought I would post this to make the Guys with the red cars happy since they love bagging on the rest of us. It looks to me like everybody but Edmunds and Red S2K owners know Silver and Yellow are the best S2000 colors!

Thats really interesting- I would assume its based on how difficult it is to resell a car of a certain color.
I'm very surprised the white is higher than Black. I would think the easiest to sell colors would be (in this order): Red, Black, Silver, Yellow, White. I have Red, but I wanted Black or Silver- they look so cyber...
Chances are, they applied some stock formula to it. Something they used on Ford Tauruses no doubt. I see a lot of white Tauruses :-)

No surprise here.
Used red Ferraris have always commanded significant premiums over used Ferraris in other colors...
Not to start a pi$$ing match, but when most (not all) people dream of owning a convertible sports car, they imagine it as red and so they're willing to pay a premium for red when it's time to turn their dream into reality!

I'm of the mind that ANY Stook will bring a decent price in the future, but I feel it is the S.Silver and S.Yellow cars (and M.Blue if it is exported to us in the future) that will command the best prices. My reasoning is that S.Silver is the original concept color, and what made most peeps drool before even knowing the car would ever even be produced. It's these people who will pay premium prices in the future, not your average Joe. Same with the rare colors. Rarity is this cars strong suite all the way around.
One last thing...Edmonds is a Joke!
