Something You Do With The S...
1. When a strip of road opens up, I hit the mute button and let her rip.
2. I probably shift 10 times more than I need to in this car because I enjoy the engine note and torque in vtec.
3. When I brake in traffic, automatically I have a tendancy to want to heel toe down shift it to optimize my acceleration when braking is done. I'm learning to cut back on this though. It's killing my gas milege.
and most people tell me I shift too much. Hey, I love this car and that is what 6 gears are for!
4. Always on the look out for curves to drift the S2000 around.
5. I talk to my car after a nice spirited drive. "OMG that was fun!"

-Before I go on anywhere in the S, every pine needle/leave/twig MUST be off the car
I also
-stare at it as I walk away
-get those rpm up in parking garages, underpasses, ect.. basically anywhere that I am surrounded by concrete walls
-check the reflections in:
store windows
milk tanker trucks
dark painted 4X4s
-whenever I ride with someone and am returning to my car.. when I see it I'm always in awe
-I too tend to back into spots for the same reason.. front end looks so mean
-I too love the smell of rubber and exhaust.... especially after a run at the Dragon...
-I park on the front row at work so I can look at it while on lunch
-Always keep the display on its brightest setting , even at night (just looks so cool)
-Always park the car as if it is on display, no matter if I am at a gas station or anywhere else. It makes for an enjoyable walk back.
-After washing her, I sit and soak in the lines for a while before going on a ride (I know its counter productive but jeez it is hard to resist when its looking that good. I swear it runs better too

-Waxing = sheetmetal worship .... ok with me, say what you will....
-Vent slats have to be perfectly horizontal, and the directional knob at the bottom has to be centered.
-always close the cup holder and radio door before getting out
-seats have to be in the same postion and seat backs must be at the same angle
-I have contacts so I actually use the "top down' setting when the top is up and the regular 50-split when the top is down
-I always leave an extra car length inbetween me and the car in front of me at red lights (slow rolling starts suck)
- The best.. driving at night top down.... whats even better? Driving early morning top down!
sometimes in slow traffic (lots of it in and around DC) i'll do the tire warm up thing that race drivers do (i.e., weave back and forth in my own lane); just a lil something to break up the monotony of bumper to bumper traffic
S2000 OCD
In the winter I will come home after work in my beater and always walk to my S, take the OEM cover off the front so I can see the hood and Volk rims, stare for 20 seconds, and go inside. If sometimes I forget it makes me feel weird. hehe.
Just a couple more weeks till the cover comes off completely for the spring.

Wow, we're all pretty obsessive-compulsive. When I hop in the driver's seat I make it a point never ever to step on the cross-brace, for fear of wearing down the carpet prematurely. Also, if my passenger doesn't follow my directions when I state NOT to step, or rest their feet on the cross-brace, I roundhouse kick them in the face.
Every time I wash the car, I wipe down the door jams and the inside of the trunk lid.
I'll dry off the entire car after a rainy day.
I keep a micro fiber towl in the car so I can reach over and wipe off dirt/bugs from the windshield at stop lights.
I talk to the car all the time.
I fix the rear bumper alignment 2-3 times a week (stupid AP2 problem)
I do weaves on the road to warm up my tires on a cold day.
I YELL at people when they close the door by pushing on the window... (my wife learned about that pretty quickly lol)
I YELL at people if I let them drive it and they drive too close to other people or skip shift.
I once even told someone that the next time they did that (skip shift) would be the last time they ever drove my car, I have no problem sharing the joy of driving this car, but they must respect my authority.
I shudder whenever I hear a fellow S2000 owner talk about taking their car through a commercial car wash...
I drift through a corner in the parking lot at my work every day.
