I have the same feeling, Ive now had the car for a month and im a bit dissapointed in the lack of low end power, im def gonna turbo it this winter
This is a car that has 150 ft-lbs of torque, and doesn't make power until 6000rpm.
If you wanted a car with low end grunt, you should've bought something with a v8 or torque. The S2000 was built to be thrashed above 6000rpm and sing, not lug along in 6th gear at 2000rpm.
Again, based on the OP's description of "after getting off the highway", his problem is 100% perception, nothing more.

I also am a 1 month owner, and i also plan on boosting.
There is no low end at all
There is no low end at all

I mean, seriously. What did you expect? It drives now exactly like it did when you test drove it. did you think it would magically gain torque?

no man. I know exactly what you mean about no low end.
I owned 3 other turbo cars. Two sentras (one SR20 powered with a t25, which happened to beat i/h/e s2000s on the highway, lol) which had awesome bottom end, and an 04 v6 accord which also had nice torque, and a 350z, which was almost exclusively torque, to the s2000 which has none.......so adjustment was absolutely necessary
but if I keep the S in it's sweet spot, IMO it's far more rewarding to drive than just putzing along

tho it's probably just in your head, check your map sensor connection. There's a service bulletin that shows a symptom relating to poor low end accelleration . A hesitation if you will . It calls for a new piece to make sure the connection is solid using that and a zip tie, so put a zip tie around the connector and sensor to tighten it up and see if that helps out. I'd show you the recall but I'm on my phone, possibly later.

how exactly do you think a turbo will add low end power? Ever heard of lag?

I don't know about you guys, but I find myself completely unable to stay below 3k during normal driving, and always shift at at least 4k. Car feels as it should with no bogging or anything. I agree with that post that says this car is not designed to be in 6th at 2000 RPM... so true.
