Ok, this is all funny and everything, however, being that I will be picking up my stook this month, now I will have a fear or loosing my rear. Is the s2000 easy to loose the rear in? I have driven a Mustang GT before, and that car's rear could slip real easy, Is the S2000 any different? What about handling in ice and snow?

You'd be amazed how well the car sticks to the pavement in warm temps, drive pavement. I highly recommend taking a driving school where you get to drive your s2k. There's one school close by and they have their class at the pocono speedway. The school is www.drivingdynamics.com . NJTom found out about it and we had 5 s2k's go to the class. The instructors were real impressed with our cars. We had a blast. I think all of us went off track a couple of times. No real damage to anyone's car. I think the worst was Gary cracking the bottom of his front spoiler and the rest of us got a couple scuff marks. I fish tailed out of the hairpin turn a few times cause I came in too hot. After a little shake back and forth, the car came nicely back in line. You got to see the limits of your car with you driving it. I got a much, much better respect for how well our car does on the road. And what an adrenaline rush. The S2k's were the last on the track the final day - we were having too much fun!!! I think by the end of the 2nd day, all of us had our tires squealing on every turn and the car handle magnificantly. I have not tried these manuevers on the streets, but it was fun to do it in a relatively safe environment. The only damage to any cars where mechanical failures due to the extreme running on a track. There was a mazda mx6 turbo, a 82 vette and a 911 targa (200k+ miles) that were the mechanical casualties...

I'm not sure I'd recommend driving this car in the snow. Mine will be put away until the top down weather comes back.

Find a way to post that video! I know we all could use a good laugh. Im out doing donuts and burn outs what not. My rears are shot as well. Plus with it getting cold out its super easy to let the back end loose on your first stop sign. After that though forget it you will spin your clutch not the tires.

If Greg and Sondra had a baby boy, would he be the "son of a beach?"

Don't forget, Sonda spun around on purpose!

I drove a '96 GT convertible before the S2K, and their is no comparison. It is very easy to get the rear end loose in the Mustang with gobs of torque and a relatively front-heavy weight bias. The S2K is much more neutral, but like any performance car, it needs to be driven well under the limit when conditions deteriorate. I don't know from personal experience (gotta love FL winters), but others have reported that snow tires are a must for winter driving. The stock tires suck in the snow and under cold-wet conditions.

My shirt was untucked from my jeans so that I could brush some of the sand that had gone down my back OUT of my shirt and not down my jeans! In fact, I'm brushing sand out of my hair in that photo...

Oh, and one more thing... when you get sand all over the ENTIRE interior, it takes HOURS to get it all out (I started on my car about 12:30 today, finished about 4:30). It is highly recommended to execute that move with the top UP...

Oh, and DOA, my rear tires are shot and in that case, it's easy (and fun!) to loosen up the rear end a little. I think you'll find that you can break the rear loose with good tires too, though it's much more predictable than you think. In time, you'll be wagging the tail on yours just like all of the rest of us!

Well, I got a panicked call from the "Queen of Spin" today and she was rather angry/frustrated/impatient with all the cleaning that she had to do to get her car cleaned of all the 'beach material' ...

I couldn't talk long, but I was trying not to laugh...it made her even more pe'od. I tried to be nice, but she was rather irritated...

Needless to say, I laughed heartily...and I was overjoyed in the fact that for once someone else gets a hard time besides me here!
