Soon to be back in the S family again
Well I'll find out today if I will be getting an almost new 07 Rio. I have been working with a dealer for a good price on a basically new 2007 Rio yellow S2000 with about 1000 miles that they had recently sold and then had to pull back due to a financing failure.
It's a no option car, which is exactly what I was looking for, and the price will probably be between $22,000 - $22,500 plus tax.

It's official, $23850 out the door (tax/dealer fee/etc)

I'll fly to Miami 12/30 and drive back to Atlanta the same day.

Good deal and by the way, there are really no options when buying an S. Where in Miami are you getting it?
otherwise its just accesories like cargo net and sidestrakes and stuff.
....cargo in an S2000

) Cargo...good one
As far as options I meant wing, air strikes, front lip type of stuff- I just wanted a stock appearing S. I knew there were not really any options to speak of, as I had also bought a new 01 S and have been following them ever since.
Click on the link in my earlier post to see the listing on ebay showing the car and the dealer in Miami. I did not bid. I waited until the auction ended and called and made a cash offer.
Originally, I bought an 01 because the never ending rumor was that the S2000 was to at first be just a one year run, a real Honda collector car. Then they went on to 2001, and 2002 and well, there you go.
Maybe if they really stop producing after 2010 and do not come up with any S3000 or whatever, our cars will eventually become what Honda first hinted at - a full effort, limited production car that will leave a mark (that will eventually increase in value).
