The ecu learning only effects partial throttle settings...not WOT.
Resetting the ecu takes about 45sec to do. My partial throttle settings let my mpg increase from 21-22mpg in town to 23-24mpg (and I drive more agressively now than before since it is more fun in the lower rpm band...I have seen 25mpg city when I drove very conservatively).

Ok, I'm confused now. There are people saying that the ecu doesn't relearn WOT and now people are saying that it does.
Which is it?
If the ecu relearns partial and wot then there is no point in gettin a vafc because you'll have to constantly reset your ecu.

Actually, it keeps coming up, but I've never seen anyone dyno their car, the install vfac, dyno after an ecu reset, then dyno again a day later, week later, etc. after all these years - maybe I missed it. VFAC will add power, but its short lived imo - some people say the settings last a week or so, some people say hours - you just have to keep resetting the ecu.
I guess another question is, if you are just stock and reset the ecu, does the car run harder?

The ecu won't effect the WOT corrections. I have a VAFC and have dyno'd more than once and the settings were still correcting A/F more than a year after the original tune.
The only settings that will change are the partial throttle settings. And that can be defeated with 45sec work every couple weeks. Yes, I can tell the difference in my car's performance as the ecu learns the partial throttle corrections and I can tell the difference with when I reset the ecu.

But in your case, you keep on resetting the ecu since you have the partial throttle setting. What I want to know is if it would get affected if you dont set that. In your case, your always resetting the ecu so on the dyno it would show the improvements. Correct me if im wrong..

Ask your question in the JDM Forum of s2ki. You may find someone there who has their VAFC only set for WOT.
