I always hear that people say that nothing beats the sound of an S2000 with a CAI and exhaust. What sound does the CAI make exactly? Is it like a supercharger sound or something compeltely different? Does it effect the stock exhaust sound? Thanks!

 

it's much louder and a deeper tone when you have a CAI on over stock. especially above 6000 rpms

to be more specific it starts with a whistle... weee... then the above sound.

 

God the sound from outside was hideous!....But from the inside it sounds sick...which is all that matters anyway

 

The stock airbox baffles help to reduce the intake noise from the engine. With a CAI, it's basically an open pipe into the throttle body.

I LOVE the sound of my CAI, but it is WAY loud. Some of my friends have commented that they could hear my car from as much as a 1/4mile away (and no, not on a drag strip.)

 

what kind of intake is that? mine is comptech and it sounds completely different from that clip
