Default sound deadening or undercoating

I dont own an S yet, but Ive heard alot of things about how noisy this car can be. I dont mind road, wind , or tire noise. But I was wondering if anyone has had sound deadening or undercoating applied to cut down on some of the noise. And if so, did it make a noticeable difference? Thanks for your input. And please dont light up the flamethowers.

I don't know how mine compares to a "clean" S; but, mine was undercoated and I still get some clinking sounds when I drive over loose stones in my wheel well. Some believe it is a waste of money and just adds weight to the car. Maybe it does. Since I planned on keeping mine for a long time and don't drive it in the snow and most rain showers, I just thought I'd take a little extra caution for protection.

I have heard that eventually moisture will find its way between the undercoating and the metal it was meant to protect and cause unnecessary corrosion.
