Sound And Performance From The Air Intake
Ok, I know many people have also had the lid off the airbox and many would agree that it osunds awsome but is not really good practice. Therefore i want an engineered well designed air intake system that has been calculated for the car not a back street knocked up sytem. I want 2 things BIG SOUND AND NO LOSS OF PERFORMANCE!
I was considering the PRM intake sytem as this looks like it would sound great! Also it looks good!
Can anyone who has the PRM INTAKE TELL ME IF IT IS AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS?
I would really appreciate some info on this. Cheers people...
Happy motoring!

I did alot of research on cold air intakes and decided on the prm, I had read too many threads on hydrolocking with the aem style and living in a tropical area I decided the prm was my best bet for an aftermarket intake! I love the sound at Vtec!!!!
I am still very happy with this intake - there are several threads on it if you do a search

I have a PRM intake and love it. It sounds as awesome. When my wife is in the car I can take it easy and it sounds stock. Punch it, and the sound is amazing.
Russ did a write up on PRM. I believe he was the first S2000 owner with one. Great write up with lots of good info.
If I had to do over, I would go with the PRM.
Good luck

While I have since modified my intake with a custom system, I most certainly continue to recommend the PRM. It's a simple install (compared to the AEM, Injen and K&N Typhoon) and does not alter the tone of the car much under VTEC. Above 6K and it comes to life. It has also dyno'd one horsepower LESS than the AEM, according to Gerry (owner of PRM racing) which is acceptable considering it's not really drawing cooler air from beneath the car so fabicate some cooler air hitting that horn section (as did I) and you've got a nice set-up for the everyday S2000 owner, of which I am not, hence my deviation of design.
Go with the PRM, you won't have any regrets.

I have the AEM CAI. I know it's not the PRM, but it adds performance and has an awesome sound, especially over 6K RPM. I'd recommend it.
Have the same set up and love it ... gotta love the sound over 6k
