Default Sounds I should not be hearing

2 sounds, to be specific.

The first is a clicking sound from my roof while driving. The top is closed properly and tight. My S is brand-spankin' new so I'm not sure if this is break-in or something is wrong.

The second I hear when I open the trunk. It doesn't make the sound all of the time but its a short clank when the trunk gets to the halfeway point.

Anybody else heard these sounds or know anything about them?

Thanks

Look under the car and make sure that all the shipping spring spacers have been removed from the car. If they are there the car will act like a go cart (no suspension travel). Don't know about the other noise.

OK.
Where under the car would these be located?
What do they look like?

you do need to look for spring spacers, but they would not cause the sounds you are hearing... they are black rubber things in your springs- i could not see the one left in mine until i took all 4 wheels off.
your roof sound is not unusual, and might go away putting the top up and down again (mine does).
the trunk sound could be the trunk lid torsion bar- you have to have a tool to adjust it, so i would say that is a dealer fix item... i wonder if the rubber part is missing from the torsion bars-

I've got the exact same sound when I open the trunk,I would refer to it as a kind of "creak" after it's opened about eight inches.

I have a brand new (less than 500 miles) '02 and it has that same clicking sound coming from the area of the right top latch. I cannot pinpoint the exact source. I have asked about it on this forum and the new Yahoo S2000 forum - no specific ideas so far. My Honda dealer hasn't been able to explain it and tells me that there is nothing that can be done about it. Maybe not, but I really don't want to accept that. There has to be an explanation. It is worse in colder weather, but pops up randomly all the time. I'll keep after it. It's not terminal, but is definitely annoying!

i think the trunk noise you are refering to are the long torsion springs that run over the covers for the spare tire and where the factory cd player would go. those bars tend to get caught and then sprung as u open the trunk. nothing to be concerned about.

Yep.. sounds like trunk torsion springs to me. Dealer should be able to fix the noise.
