I have my S (2001) for almost a year now. Bought it used so, I am not clear what the engine output is. I always assumed it had 255 hp, but just the other day, someone posted 240 hp. Please advise. Thanks. It's sad not knowing how may ponies your car puts out.

 

240hp crank, not sure how much of that is actually makin it to the wheels but I don't think it has too much drivetrain loss to be honest with you. I'm not really the person to be askin about this but fact is whoever quoted you on 255 was wrong =)

 

Did the guy you bought your S from used have mods? Maybe your engine has 255 at the crank but I doubt it.

Agreed it's 240hr stock.
