Anyone ever tried using speedbleeders on their S2000? What is the proper size for the S2000? Good experiences or bad?

Pete (ruexp67) had them on his Vette. Not sure if he has them on the S. He really liked them on the Vette, though. Especially at the track.

i got them when i was changing out pads, fluid, lines.

you might consider doing the initial bleed, wait over night and re do it.

 

jah, how happy are you with them? Do they work well? What are you saying about the initial bleed? I'm planning on taking off my calipers completely, not sure how that would affect me.

 

I installed them when I changed to SS brake lines, bleeding has never been so easy. Definitely recommended!

 

they work very fine. they enable a single person to bleed the system w/o a single drop mis placed. there are other methods but this works. they are easy to install. simple and no complications.

all i am saying is after you get all the air out, let it sit overnight and give it another try.

you should not have any issues even if you are replacing the calipers. do the brake lines and better pads too. for the rear you might consider a adj tool, cube like thingy, to release the reaer calipers, i think on a honda you can get by with a large screw driver.

the one think i had bad was the oem brake lines were very tight, the coupling at the bulkhead side. get a set of flare nut wrenches. my coupling was soo tight i used the above wrench + the handle from the floor jack to break it free.

 

When I had the brake fluid changed a couple months ago, the shop used one.

 

Speedbleeders are permanently attached to your car, and replace the OEM bleeder valves. You're prob. thinking of a Mity-Vac or something similar.

 

I've been using Speedbleeders on my 97 Prelude for about 3 years now with no problems... Bleeding the brakes are a snap now and is usual maintenance for me before I hit the track.
